One day, as I finished some business in the heart of Fulham, I felt like trying out one of the local Italian restaurants. I found one conveniently snuggled near the centre of the area and decided to try it out. The location was perfect and it was not too far from where I had to do my business. On top of that, it was around lunchtime and the place was empty, so I didn’t have to wait for service at all.
Straight from the door I could see it is a lovely place. The interior felt nice and comfortable and the overall look was quite pleasant. As I made my order, I decided to have a look around and to
check on the toilet.
Like I said, the place felt nice and comfortable, but the toilet can surely use some extra care and attention. I noticed there was dust on the hand dryer and the tap had some lime scale. With some extra cleaning, the room can be gleaming, I am sure of it.
As I returned to take my seat and wait for my order, I noticed something else: there were crumbs on the floor and it appeared like it had not been cleaned after the previous lunch. I believe this to be very important overall, as the floor is a noticeable area of the room and draws attention.
However, I think the quality of food was superb and it completely overshadowed the minor issues I noticed earlier. The salad I ordered was delicious and made my day. It was so nice, I felt completely satisfied. I should note that I am very picky when it comes to choosing salads, and this one met all of my standards. Add that to the polite customer service and you have a recipe for success.
I believe that hiring a cleaning company for a one off deep cleaning session of the place can greatly improve the overall appeal. That is literally the only thing needed to make the place great. Hopefully, the owner identifies this possibility and takes action to implement the improvements soon. I will be sure to come back some day and see how things are with this lovely Italian restaurant.
